WhatsApp currently working on incorporating a feature that will allow users to revoke sent messages!

The successful communications app, WhatsApp is currently developing a feature that will enable users to cancel or delete messages that have already been sent. This option is one that has been claimed and requested by users for a long time.

The exact details of how the feature will work are sketchy. @WABetaInfo, a Twitter account that it's known for the finding of the app’s newest upgrades thru their beta versions, started to see this option in several of their most recent releases.

At first glance, the update will allow users to revoke messages that have been sent but have only one tick – One tick means that the message was received but not seen.

Considering that this is still a beta version option, the final capabilities may change, given the users the power to delete messages further along their chat’s timeline.

Another scenario that can also turn out is that the people in charge of the app may decide to scratch the possible feature all along, but it seems unlike that they will do so.

On the user’s side, even if it takes some time, this revoke function will surely be one of the most welcomed features that the company can add to their already widely popular and successful product.

The first sighting of the testing of the revoke function was found at the WhatsApp beta for iOS 2.17.1.869 by @WABetaInfo.
