On September 22, the iPhone 8 officially arrived in India. Apple and several retail partners started the preorder process for the successor to the popular device from the Cupertino-based brand with a starting price of Rs. 64,000 and 73,000 respectively.
While the devices keep maintaining a lot of similarities to their predecessor, the changes in processing power, aesthetics, and features enhance an already great product. The new color options are Silver, Space Gray, and Gold Finish, a better display, louder speakers, and glass front and back.
Both phones are powered by A11 Bionic SoC six-core processors and a new and improved GPU, with up to 30% higher efficiency than the iPhone 7 GPUs.
Also, Qi wireless inductive charging support is present in both 8 and 8 plus, allowing people to charge their device without having to plug in a cable again.
These smartphones come with improved cameras, which deliver photos with better detail, texture, according to the brand.
The iPhone 8 has a 12-megapixel camera, and the iPhone 8 Plus a duo of 12-megapixel camera sensors. Another attractive feature is the fact both iPhone models can shoot 1080p videos at 240 frames per second.
