According to several reports, HMD Global will present three new phones on Jan 9: The Nokia 9, and the 2018 editions of the Nokia 8 and the recently TENNA certificated, Nokia 6.
If everything goes as expected, the 2018 “6” will be a dual sim device with similar design features to the 7 (Smaller bezel, lack of touch buttons, and an enlarged 18:9 display).
Reports also claim that the phone will come with a dual camera setup on the back, accompanied with “bothie”, a feature that can be found in the Nokia 8 that allows users to take photos and videos with the front and back cameras working together.
Among other rumored specs, the device will come with a 5.5-inch display (18:9 aspect ratio), powered by a Snapdragon 630 SoC processor with 4GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a fingerprint scanner.
Assuming all rumors are correct, the 2018 incarnation of the “8” looks to be a very interesting device, one that could offer top performance without having to pay high-end prices.
Come Jan 9, most eyes will be on the “9”, the brand’s flagship, showcasing high-end features (reports state that it will come in two variants: 6GB RAM/64GB ROM and 6GB RAM/128GB), but the 2018 “6” will make its presence known.
