Korean phone maker Huawei is getting ready to present their newest flagship and one of its first bezel-less models, The Huawei Mate 10, to the world on October 16th in Munich, Germany.
The Mate 10 will be the first smartphone to feature the Kirin 970 chip, the brand’s newest and most powerful processor to date.
According to the manufacturer, the 970 is an incredible and piece of engineering, is described as the first Neural Processing Unit (NPU) in the market, one that offers faster processing and lower power consumption than ever before, merged with AI-powered features.
This processing capability combined with the innovative external design will allow the Mate 10 to go toe to toe, and even surpass, the performance of the upcoming and latest products from their direct competitors: Samsung and Apple.
Two variants of the Mate 10 will see the light in the event
Besides the advantages and capabilities of the chip, there’s little information about the rest of the specs of the upcoming product, but it seems a given that Huawei will announce, not one, but two versions of their next flagship device: Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro.
These two phones will carry the same chipset inside (HiSilicon Kirin 970), dual rear camera setup, and both should boast full-screen displays of 6-inch plus.
While the rest of the specs is unknown to the public, The Mate 10 can be a clear demonstration of how Huawei is not settling as the third largest smartphone manufacturer, and it’s improving their products to continue climbing up the ladder of the mobile device’s ranks.
