Looking to regain the top spot in the Android, Google launched the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL

2018 has seen a vast number of devices that have arrived to take the crown as the best Android-run device, but finally, after months of rumours, the 2017’s king is back with the recent launch of Google’s Pixel 3 and Pixel XL.

For this new version of the Mountain View-based brand flagships, they try to continue the majority of the aesthetics and core features of its popular flagships, but without incorporating some elements that are in vogue for this year.

One of them is the top notch. Almost every upper-level phone that has come out in this year has it, while there are a lot of people that debated whether is the best alternative, Google went for it and added to one of its new phones (XL).

Besides the somewhat controversial design feat, the rest of the phone is a step up from its successful predecessors.

Power, Sound, and the best camera available

The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are offering a top display with the 6.3-inch Quad HD+ (2960 x 1440) for the XL, while the 3 got a 5.5 OLED display, with 2160 x 1080 res and no notch, equipped with front-facing speakers.

On the internal side of the devices, both are powered by Snapdragon’s 845 SoC, accompanied with 4 GB of RAM, and the option of choosing between 64 or 128GB of storage.

After being considered by the specialized press as last year’s best camera on a smartphone, Google improved their setup with several AI-assisted features on the newest releases.

As for hardware goes, the new Pixels are repeating with the same single rear-facing camera with the 12.2MP sensor and a f/1.8 aperture.

But it’s in the software capabilities that Google changed up things the most.

Starting with Google Lens. This option will be running at all times and is capable of providing you with information more accessible and faster without requiring you to having to activate the function.

Additionally, you’re going to find two debuting settings: Top Shot mode and Night Sight.

The most significant change on the imaging side can be found in the Pixel 3 and 3 XL front with their dual setup cameras (two 8MP sensors, with f/2.2 apertures), allowing for better group selfies (wide-angle selfies).

The phones come in three different color variants: Just black, apparently white, and not pink.

Both smartphones are available right now from the Google Store with a $799 price tag for 64GB Pixel 3 and the $899 for 128GB. As for the Pixel 3 XL costs $899 for the 64GB model and the $999 for the 128GB model.
