With a trio of new devices, Chinese phone maker Huawei recently presented the Mate 20 series, the most recent flagship line of the brand.
Processing power innovation
The Mate 20, 20 X and 20 Pro are bringing a package that displays improved processing power – thanks to the groundbreaking Kirin 980 chipset - the world’s first with NPU Dual Design, AI capabilities, among other state-of-the-art features – and several improvements in the optics area.
Supporting the Kirin 980, two of the phones will carry two options for RAM (4/6 GB on the 20, and 6/8 GB on the 20 PRO) while the 20 X comes only with 8.
Huawei bets in the NM cards to change the storage game format
On the storage department, 20 and 20 X will come with 128 GB and 128/256 GB variants for the 20 Pro.
Also, all three can expand their storage capacities via NM Cards (Huawei’s new proprietary storage unit) up to 256 GB.
As for the devices displays’ size goes, they vary, ranging from 6.39 Inches in the 20 Pro, all the way up to the 20 X with its 7.2 inches.
Powerful imaging features co-engineered with a legendary brand
Another strong point of the Mate 20 series is that continues the Chinese brand’ collaboration with legendary photo camera maker Leica for the photo and video capabilities of their flagship line.
The newest result of their combined work is high-performance camera features with innovating AI technology to deliver amazing results.
On the hardware side, the Mate 20 comes with triple camera setup on the back (12 MP Wide Angle Lens, f/1.8, 16 MP Ultra Wide Angle, f/2.2, and 8 MP Telephoto, f/2.4).
The X/ Pro will also feature a similar three-camera arrangement but with better performance (40 MP Wide Angle, f/1.8, 20 MP Ultra Wide Angle, f/2.2, 8 MP Telephoto, and f/2.4)
All three carry a 24 MP Selfie shooter, f/2.0 selfie shooter.
The Mate 20 series will hit the Indian market in late November, starting with the 20 Pro. Prices and exact release dates are not yet available.
