Apple launched three new iPhones and the Apple Watch 4 in their 2018 keynote

Surrounded by worldwide expectative, Apple unleashed four new products at their September 2018 Keynote. After months of swirling rumors, the new devices are the iPhone XS, XS Max, XR, and the Apple Watch 4.

The Cupertino-based company has put its focus on developing and growing its iPhone X lineup, by introducing these three phones with a set of specs and price tag that are suited for different market segments.

In addition to the upcoming releases, the brand announced that the discontinuation of the first iPhone X and its last iPhone with headphones.

What’s New?

As soon as Tim Cook left the stage at the 2018 Keynote, three new iPhones have been introduced into the mobile devices' world: XS, XS Max, and the XR.

Spearheaded by an innovating Apple A12 Bionic processor, better battery performance (up to 90 mins better than the X or8 plus), more significant storage capacity (64GB, 128GB, 256GB for the XR, and 64GB, 256GB, 512GB for both XS), these three devices automatically became the de facto flagships of the brand.

Its worth noting that removing the size (5.8 Vs. 6.5 inches) and price difference (Starting $999 and $1099 respectively), both XS share the same specs.

Even with its hefty price tag (starting at 749$), the XR comes in as the more affordable member of the X Lineup.

Most of the processing power remains the same, but the XR comes with a 6.1-inch LCD Retina Display (For the XS, Apple used Super Retina OLED displays), multiple color options and a single camera setup on the back.

Even facing considerably stronger competition from Android-run devices, the public will have to wait for the XS, XS Max and XR to hit the market to know how well they perform and if these phones will keep Apple’s top spot among mobile devices.

For the Apple Watch 4, the Tim Cook-led company went all in with a more prominent display, thinner body, more powerful processor, and the inclusion of a built-in EKG scanner to form a package that looks like it will continue to sit unrivaled at the top of the smartwatches market.

If you want to get your hands on one of these new products from Apple, the three iPhones will go on sale in India by September 28, while the Apple Watch 4 will come out on the 21.
