Huawei announced the 2019 version of the Y9 armed with four cameras and several upgrades

Major Korean phone maker, Huawei, is not taking a break anytime and they have announced the upcoming launch of the Y9 (2019), less than a year after its predecessor (The Y9 2018) hit the market.

Even with the short time difference in the release of the two smartphones, the new version offers several exciting upgrades on the processing and imaging features, as well as a couple of changes on the outside.

The 2019 version comes in a bigger packager, sporting a 6.5-inch FullView TFT LCD display (1080x2340px) with a 3D curved design. A type of screen designed with younger generations in mind that are looking for a better all-around experience in gaming, photography, and entertainment.

Handling those demanding tasks is not an easy feat, and for it, the maker turned to the Kirin 710 SoC octa-core as the processor of choice for the new Y9, accompanied with 6 GB of RAM, according to some rumors.

Another area that went to a transformation is the imaging system. The Y9 2019 comes with dual camera setups on the front and back of the phone (13mpx sensor and a 2mpx sensor on the back and a 16/2mpx as the selfie shooters).

Additionally, there are reports that both setups will incorporate AI-based features.

Among the rest of the specs, the device is going to sport a fingerprint 4.0 identification system that claims to unlock the phone in 0.3 seconds.

The rest of the confirmed specs sheet, release date, and pricing options will be announced shortly, but judging just by the information at hand, the Y9 2019 looks like a promising device for the last trimester of 2018.
